Staircase Baluster
A staircase baluster is the narrow rod which goes between the treads and handrail. A balustrade consists of several evenly spaced balusters combined with a decorative handrail often used as a preventative barrier, and is a necessity where someone could fall one metre or more.
Alternatively why not consider upgrading your entire stairway to a brand new design, either in keeping with your existing period of your home, or even something more modern? We can also help with creating new railings, spindles and newels, giving your staircase an elaborate brand new look.
I’ve had a run of very old staircases needing to be bought up to modern regulation standards. People must have been a lot shorter in the past. Had to lengthen these turned timber balusters by 180 mm. Beautiful sharp lines and classic stylings. Did I say that I love my job?
